Life Update & IECSC Haul

Hello!!!

It’s been ages, I know. I’m sorry! As always, my life has been super busy lately despite me getting nothing of substance done – I went back to school on weekends while still working full-time during the week, so pretty much everything fun in my life has been put on the back burner ): So I haven’t really had much to blog about, and though I do have tons of drafts sitting in my Evernote (I like to type them up during my commute, it gives me strength haha), since my job involves staring at the computer for seven and a half hours a day, it’s hard to find the motivation to open Photoshop when I’m at home. But I definitely miss posting, and am trying to carve out some time to work on this blog some more! I just don’t want to post once and then disappear for three years x: so I’d rather be inactive for a while and get myself together.

So last year I decided to become a licensed esthetician – skin care/makeup of course are major interests in my life to the point that I don’t really talk about anything else hahaha. Classes started in January, and since I’m only going part-time, I’m in class all day on weekends and won’t be graduating/ready to take the licensing exam until November .——–. But I love it so far! My teacher is amazing and the class is small enough that everyone gets a little individual attention, and my classmates are all super chill. It sucks dealing with weekend public transportation schedules (the subway line I take is notorious for breaking down and being slow and not even announcing it) and waking up at 6am all the time, but it’s worth it.

And a huge perk of being “in” the beauty industry is access to trade shows, like the International Esthetics, Cosmetics, and Spa Conference that took place last week! Being able to see all the latest products and machines in action, especially as a student, made me really excited about the future. Oh and then I bought stuff :B

Review: Skin Food Black Sugar Foaming Scrub

Ahh yes Skin Food. it is coming around and I am really reviewing things!

Today is focused on the Black Sugar Foaming Scrub that costs $17.40 (~$10 on ebay.com). Yes the markup is insane! But sometimes I pick convenience over a great deal ;__; forgive me. I am the picture of lazy.

Review: Skin Food Parsley & Mandarin Toner

Oh. Yea. It’s been a while. But Christmas is this week!! I’m super excited! I love the holidays! I truly believe that it is the best time of the year. One great thing is all the sales! But besides that just spending time with people that matter heart smile But let’s get on with what this post really is about.

A toner review! I don’t think I’ve done one yet ever. Truth be told, sometimes I don’t get toners. But there are a lot of good articles out there on what toners are really good for. Here’s a relatively good one from Paula’s Choice, but remember to take it with a grain of salt because they are hard core selling you their products. Which is still pretty good. But no today I am speaking of this product that I purchased from Skin Food for $15.40.

Memebox: From Nature 6/2014

Ha… yes I had purchased a Memebox from a whileee back! So I guess I will include mini reviews! No individual pictures mostly because although my camera is a lot better than no camera. It’s nothing in comparison to one of them fancy cameras most legit bloggers use.

This is their “From Nature” linewhen I had purchased this wanted a box that was possibly mostly skin care because my face was in major break out mode and thought that this would be more or less very gentle on my skin. I mean although it is more or less ~natural~ products, I take it to mean that these products feature some really good ingredients found in nature instead of being all natural. Then again I know nothing about Korea and their standards for beauty companies. I mean I love it but I really haven’t heard of any 100% all natural asian beauty company that exists as of yet. So please if you have, let me know about them!

And now on with the post!

Testerkorea Haul/Review

I discovered Testerkorea when I found out about Etude House’s Princess Makeup Table, and decided I needed it. (like, really. My stuff at my boyfriend’s place was kind of spread all over the top of the dresser and it was really annoying him)

I did a quick bit of research on the site, and it didn’t seem like a scam tongue So I bought the table (which seems to have since sold out :(), as well as a few other things because I deserve it okay.

First, mah stuffs:
