Review: Skin Food Black Sugar Foaming Scrub

Ahh yes Skin Food. it is coming around and I am really reviewing things!

Today is focused on the Black Sugar Foaming Scrub that costs $17.40 (~$10 on Yes the markup is insane! But sometimes I pick convenience over a great deal ;__; forgive me. I am the picture of lazy.

Disclaimer: I purchased this item with my own money. All opinions are my own and unaffected by anything else?

The first thing I’ve learned since some of the testers I’ve received is that there are no actual products that’s labelled an ‘exfoliator’ and yes I realize that I was being dumb about it. So basically if I were to get an actual exfoliator, it would usually be a mask of some sort. Which makes a lot of sense when I think about it. So when I saw that this foaming scrub was a thing, I wanted it. Full stop. The price did not matter at the time I snatched it up so fast. My wallet didn’t even realize what was happening.

This is actually really good. I enjoy how you can feel it working. But if you have rather sensitive skin, it can be a little harsh on you. Basically if you don’t enjoy the sensation of St. Ive’s Peach Scrub, you might want to stay away from this Black Sugar Foaming Scrub. The best part about it is that when you work it enough, the bits that is in it to make the scrub slowly just melts away into a gentle facial wash. I’ve used it for a while now and I love it. I wish it was a little rougher, but that’s just me.

There are a few cons. I feel like there’s not enough scrub. I mean I feel like I need to use more product to get more of the exfoliating effect than I’d like. Or I could just be really picky. Hm.. I’m trying to think of another con, but I can’t so… yep.

Bottomline: This is a great scrub. If you find it for the right price, get it. Get it forever. GET IT. Or don’t get it if you’re not a fan of harsh scrubs. Because I am. I don’t know why but I really am. I love this product and I think you should get it. bigsmile
